Skills for Work is a national programme aimed at providing training opportunities to help employees deal with the basic skills demands of the workplace. The initiative is funded by the Irish Government though the Department of Education and Skills and managed locally by Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board. Training is FREE to eligible employed people (full and / or part-time)

Courses details:

· No charge

· Flexible content to suit your employees

· Flexible times

· Delivered onsite or offsite at times to suit employees and staff rotas

Courses could include:

· Electronic Business Communications

· Personal and Interpersonal Skills

· Personal Development

· Workplace Communications

· Online Herd Registration for Farmers

· Retails Skills

· Tourism

· Customer Service

· Introduction to Health and Safety

· Workplace Maths

· Workplace English

· Catering/Hospitality Skills

· Entrepreneurship

The above list is not definitive and where there is a specific need we will investigate any areas where you believe there is a training need outside of courses already offered to you through LEO Limerick. Minimum number for a group is 6 and maximum 9 but where you have less than 5 employees we work hard to cluster individuals across industries in specific areas of training. If you are interested in having a Skills for Work Programme as part of your professional development initiative for staff, or you feel you could benefit from specific training in a specific area, please feel free to contact our local Coordinators;
